Kiwi Blend: Blended Learning for Kiwis by Kiwis

Seminar Outline

Goals

  • Clarify and expand your understanding of blended learning
  • Respond to a range of current examples of practice and relate to own educational setting
  • Compare and contrast blended learning from a New Zealand context to international setting
  • Actively participate in group discussions and activities
  • Use a variety of Web 2.0 collaboration, discussion and feedback tools

Seminar Structure & Expectations

This seminar is comprised of a, whole group, synchronous introduction activity using Adobe Connect, a selection of age level specific readings and asynchronus activities, and a whole group concluding feedback activity.

After completing the introductory activity (Wednesday September 8 @ 7:30pm), make your way to the two sector based activities of your choice before wrapping things up in the concluding activity.

Our expectation is that you will participate in the introductory and concluding activities and at least two of the optional sector based activities.

But... we acknowledge that some people may find that commitment too much while some may wish to do all activities. Do what you can as we will value any contribution to the seminar.
